It shapes budget allocations, regulatory frameworks, institutional mandates, and, ultimately, the trajectory of a nation of 240 million people standing at a crossroads between chronic underdevelopment and a genuinely plausible economic transformation.

The digital economy, properly understood, is not a sector. It is the operating system upon which all modern economic activity increasingly runs. It encompasses the digitisation of production processes, the datafication of consumer behaviour, the platformisation of labour markets, and the emergence of knowledge as the primary factor of production.
